� � � � There's a lot of pressure on defending champions, and no TCHS chess team ever went through a season like the 1992 team did. While the record book shows that the team had a 28-1 record, falling only to eventual state champion Marcos de Niza in the 3rd round at the State Team Championship held at Tuba City, the biggest story of the year dealt with our eventual 3-2 victory over the Arizona Interscholastic Association.
